The gun itself and the papers. Let's talk about the gun first. 13 mil /26\ (1968) captured in 1970. Certainly possible. Mismatched receiver cover is not all that unusual I guess. Stock, mag, and carrier all match. Stock has a pretty unusual rack mark on it with an interesting but unprovable interperetation from the seller. Looks to be in decent enough shape with some minimal rusting issues. No idea why it has a Romy sling on it though. The papers? Those are certainly copies, possibly even copies of copies with information that would be needed to actually verify them all redacted. Absolutely worthless in my opinion. So we have a mismatched type 56 of a *very* common year number with "the look", a very interesting rack mark, some worthless paper, and a $1376 final bid? On what planet does this make sense?
