SKS-FILES FORUM

Russian SKS45s are the most sought after on the market right now.  In my opinion they will never be "rare", but they do get expensive, especially for low productions years, as-issued guns, or Izhevsk arsenal.

• 618036177 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=618036177)   New 1951 Tula SKS, Non Refurbished, Penny Start! All Matching!, w/ Box & Extras, No Reserve, SVT 40   33   $1,500.00    1951   Tula   As-Issued   Very Good   HИ2225   Quite a nice specimen.  Photos are a bit dark for my liking, but it's a legit '51.  Whether it's worthy of this price, that's a good question.  I personally think maybe $500 to $700 too high.
• 618532844 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=618532844)   Russian SKS rifle   19   $735.00    1951   Tula   As-Issued   Good   AЛ980   Nice little gun here!
• 618352506 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=618352506)   Rare NON-REFURB Russian SKS 1952r Tula #s matching   48   $905.00    1952   Tula   As-Issued   Good   ЗK351   "I was going to take umbrage with the ""non-refurb"" part of the item title, but the seller does give a reasonably good explanation in his text: "While I cannot 100% guarantee that it has never been refurbished / re-arsenaled at some point in its life (such a guarantee would be impossible for any imported Russian SKS) all evidence suggests that it has not been:"
Unfortunately he follows that atta-boy with an aww-shucks of: "- Inspection stamps still clearly visible around crossbolt on stock: this stock has never been sanded down and refinished."  That stock has had an extra layer of shellac slathered on it, look at the valleys of all the stamps. It just has.  Still a nice gun.  $800 to $900 seems to be the going price for a nice clean as-issued gun.
• 620718869 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=620718869)   Soviet 1952r Russian SKS-45 Tula Arsenal Non-refurbished Unissued Mint Condition 7.62x39   28   $875.09    1952   Tula   As-Issued   Good   ЗP2071   This gun sold with almost the exact same photos by RolzRoyce a while back....
• 618568405 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=618568405)   1952 Tula Russian SKS, Non-Refurbished.   6   $505.00    1952   Tula   As-Issued   Good   ЮГ438   Very thick shellac on this one.  Could almost make a case that it's a refurb, but everything is there.  Kudos to Pat for showing so many detailed photos.  I think the shininess of the stock scared the big money away on this one…
• 619354995 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=619354995)   Russian SKS Tula 1954 Soviet Simonov C&R Matching   4   $694.09    1954   Tula   As-Issued   Good   ЗM6509   84 photos are excessive when 15 of them are shots of you trying to capture the grooves and lands of the barrel.  Nice enough gun though.  Pics are bit dark for my liking.
• 616843694 (http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=616843694)   Russian TULA SKS ALL MATCHING COMPLETE RIFLE NICE   1   $599.00    1954   Tula   As-Issued   Good   AT7044   Nice little gun here.
