Wow....nice sale there. The bar has been set. :)

That still must sting a little to let go...gorgeous gun. I never read into those much since they are pipe dream rare...I didn't know some were converted without respect to the rarity.

What is the ratio of paratrooper length vs. full sized?

12 Soviet-Sinos in the SN database and 5 are para (420mm) vs. 7 standard (520mm) length.

That's the quality level I would like to return my unknown Chinese /26\ to. Really makes me wish I knew it's history and how it got to the USA.

Thanks guys. I was happy with the sale, and the new owner is too. He is actually someone who I have talked to via email quite a few times, who always inquires me about SKSs he buys. I tried to represent the rifle as accurately as I could, with it being not as well known as some other SKSs. I picked a reserve that I felt was reasonable for that gun, and it seemed others were on the same mark. So not too bad. I did hate to see it go, as I spent over a year trying to find one, searching the depths of the internet for hours every night. But like my East German, I can say I owned it, and now someone else can enjoy it as well.  thumb1
